Open letter to Constituents of York Centre Ward 10

Dear friends and neighbours,

I am requesting your support for the position of City Councillor
for Ward 10, York Centre.

I was born in Hungary to parents who were both survivors of the Holocaust. As a small child I came to Canada with my mother and brother as refugees of the Hungarian Revolution.

I am the mother of a son who spent most of his life here and is still a resident of this ward and I am the daughter of a senior citizen mother living four doors from me.

My four-point platform is found on the next page. Some of these policies come from the heartfelt involvement of living in this community for the last 39 years and others come from my intensive canvassing and consultation in all areas of this ward.

If elected, ongoing community consultation will be at the core of everything I do with you and on your behalf at City Hall. New developments in Ward 10 will be subject to similar consultation with an eye to maximizing community benefit.

Our campaign is running with the “dream team” of dedicated volunteers most of whom are also residents of this Ward.

I invite you to come out and volunteer, participate by sharing your thoughts with us, or just give us a call to have our sign put on your lawn.

I am working hard to introduce myself and, with your trust, earn the privilege of representing you in Ward 10 as your Councillor.
